Lord Puttnam addresses CALG

In his speech, delivered at a Licence Group event in September, Lord Puttnam laid out his vision of the significance of the archive and drew comparisons between the Creative Archive and the early days of the film industry.

The speech identified the Creative Archive as being at the forefront of movements to help the public develop true media literacy through: "empowering people by providing them with material which may enhance their cultural awareness, their critical faculty and their creative skills – or maybe all these and more".

Lord Puttnam's speech was greeted with great enthusiasm by the group members and has now been made available for download.
