The bfi has made James Williamson's The Little Match Seller available through the Creative Archive Licence and is inviting primary schools across London to create their own scores for this 1902 film.

Coldcut have produced a Video Jockey (VJ) mix of their new single, 'Everything is Under Control', for Radio 1 and 1Xtra, using BBC Creative Archive Licensed content.

The digital TV channel for teaching professionals which joined the CALG in July, reports that teaching professionals are not only watching and downloading programmes but also busy adapting content to suit their own needs.

The European Commission has unveiled its strategy to make Europe’s written and audiovisual heritage available on the Internet. It is proposing a concerted drive by EU Member States to digitise, preserve, and make this heritage available to all, and plans to take consultation to draw up a proposal for a Recommendation to be presented in June 2006.
