Prelinger visits Creative Archive Licence Group

Rick Prelinger is in town to speak at the Creative Archive Licence Group seminar. He brings a unique perspective to the question of public and commercial value in video material via his release of the Prelinger Collection through the Internet Archive.

Prelinger has released more than 2000 items for download from the Internet Archive, representing a significant slice of ephemeral film created in America between 1927 and 1987. He will be talking at the seminar about his experience of releasing material back into the public domain while maintaining a healthy bottom line.
